Tip: La Fiesta Square has a new website design – check it out!
Are you ready to try a new road to weight loss and renewed healthy lifestyle? Itrim may be your answer. Founded in Sweden in 2003, Itrim has helped thousands of people lose weight and keep it off.
This year, Itrim is expanding into the United States, starting in the Bay Area with a freshly constructed weight loss center in Lafayette’s La Fiesta Square. Located next to Clocks, Etc., Itrim expects doors to open in mid-July.
Pass by the construction site today and it’s clear that the Itrim project is not a typical new store build-out.

“We’re taking this opportunity to update the Moraga road entrance into La Fiesta Square to match the architectural elements on Lafayette Circle,” explains Lisa A. Cortese of Cortese Investment Company, the privately held company that owns La Fiesta Square.
Itrim joins an impressive list of restaurants, shops and services offered at La Fiesta Square.
“We are very excited to bring Itrim to La Fiesta Square,” says Cortese. “Itrim’s unique, upscale and education based health and lifestyle program fits well with the high quality products and services found at La Fiesta Square. We’ve been impressed with Itrim’s leadership, particularly Jill Kinney, a long time health club industry leader who serves as CEO and co-founder of Itrim-US.”
Staff members are currently working from Itrim’s Pre-Opening Lafayette Sales Office a few blocks away. Membership sign-ups are going well.
“We already have our first 25 members and constantly receive new inquiries,” says Itrim’s Brittany Bachman, an experienced health club industry professional Kinney recruited to help launch Lafayette and several other Bay Area locations slated to open between now and Christmas.
Naturally, we like to think this early success is because Itrim joined the Lafayette Chamber even before construction began and then made a point to quickly become involved. Ask anyone — Brittany is already a familiar face at Chamber events.
I’m sure it has helped, but more likely the Itrim statistics make the difference.
Itrim reports that scientific studies have shown Itrim members lose an average of 25 lbs in 10 weeks and 74% keep it off. The combination of well designed and personalized weight loss plans, coaching and a combined approach of eating and exercise routines, makes the Itrim program truly unique. The key is individualized attention, a factor that impacts Itrim’s membership goals.
“The number of memberships is limited due to the high level of service provided to our members,” says Bachman. ”The service is why we have such amazing scientific results.”
Note: To help jumpstart community wellness during construction, Itrim is offering free circuit classes at the Lafayette Community Center. Call Itrim at (925) 694-8746 for details.
